Album Notes & Community Reviews

A radical departure from their abrasive punk and new wave roots, this track is heavily anchored by Dave Greenfield's waltzing, baroque harpsichord riff. The composition notably alternates complexly between 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures. Hugh Cornwell's poetic, romanticized lyrics function as a dual metaphor, simultaneously describing his affection for a Mediterranean girl and his severe addiction to heroin.
