Album Notes & Community Reviews

Built upon a famously borrowed Motown drum beat and a jagged, bluesy guitar riff, the track epitomizes the effortless cool of the 2000s garage rock revival. Its raw, lo-fi aesthetic and urban lyrical focus aggressively countered the highly polished pop that dominated the turn of the millennium. The song's massive international impact revitalized guitar music for a new generation.
