Biography
The Strokes are an American rock band from New York City who became a leading force in the garage rock and post-punk revivals of the early 2000s. Formed in 1998, the quintet's 2001 debut EP, 'The Modern Age', sparked a major label bidding war, leading to their signing with #RCA Records#. Their subsequent full-length debut, 'Is This It', is widely considered a landmark album of 21st-century rock. After a string of successful albums and a multi-year hiatus, the band returned with 2020's 'The New Abnormal', produced by *Rick Rubin*, which earned them their first Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
