Album Notes & Community Reviews
The international debut single that essentially placed Icelandic rock music on the global map. The track is propelled by a shimmering, heavily delayed guitar riff and a prominent brass section, but it is entirely dominated by Bj枚rk's unearthly, soaring vocal acrobatics. Her lyrics, concerning a five-year-old girl and her bizarre, possibly supernatural fascination with a neighbor, immediately established her deeply eccentric lyrical style.
