Album Notes & Community Reviews
Combines a stomping, 'We Will Rock You'-style drum beat with a deceptively simple power-pop guitar riff and Rivers Cuomo's characteristically geeky, self-deprecating lyricism. The track's incredibly catchy, radio-friendly hook provided the band with their highest-charting mainstream commercial hit. Its success alienated some longtime alternative fans but secured their legacy as arena-pop stalwarts.
