Blending massive, distorted grunge guitars with Beach Boys-esque vocal harmonies, this track effectively defined the geek-rock explosion of the 1990s. Frontman Rivers Cuomo famously almost scrapped the song from 'The Blue Album' for sounding too cheesy, before producer Ric Ocasek convinced him otherwise. Its Spike Jonze-directed music video, brilliantly inserting the band into an episode of 'Happy Days', came bundled with the Windows 95 installation CD-ROM.
