Look at Me!

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally uploaded to SoundCloud, this track became the blueprint for an entire subgenre of deliberately distorted, lo-fi rap music originating from South Florida. Built on a blown-out, over-saturated sample of a Mala track, the vocal performance oscillates between menacing whispers and unhinged, screamed obscenities. The song surged into mainstream chart success over a year after its release due to viral momentum and significant controversy surrounding the artist's personal life.
