Lyrics for Bring in the Year 2000
You're payin' for fantasies And triple shots of passion Gettin' off on hard power And reachin' for destiny, oh Look at all the vampires Stayin' alive in doorways It's the American connection Dating oblivion, losin' reason Oh! Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) (Never have peace In these times) Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) There's rivers of madness Yeah, sneakin' down easy streets Come on will ya say it already, okay baby You're destroyin' everything for nothing It's in the name of fascination You're gettin' on sucked dry Don't ya get it yet, yet, yet, yet There are no winners, baby There are no winners Darkness has no place, not now or forever Darkness has no place, not now or forever Yeah, look at all the vampires Yeah, alive in doorway Don't ya get ye-ye-ye-yet There are no winners Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) (Look around and let's get it on) (Look around and let's get it on) (We will never have peace in these times) (Look around and let's get it on) (Look around and let's get it on) (We will never have peace in these times) (Look around and let's get it on) (Look around and let's get it on) (We will never have peace In these times) Okay, let's stop it now A hidin' behind Hell Despair is runnin' high A greasin' Heaven's legs Let's take it to the future One step at a time Let's take it to the future One step at a time Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Never have peace in these times) (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) You're payin' for fantasies And triple shots of passion Gettin' off on hard power And reachin' for destiny, oh Look at all the vampires Stayin' alive in doorways It's the American connection Dating oblivion, losin' reason, oh Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Never have peace In these times) (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) Bring in the year 2000, 2000 (Ha, ha, ha, ha!) (We will never have peace In these times) (We will never have peace In these times) (We will never have peace In these times)
