Strawberry Moon

Lyrics for Strawberry Moon

I don't know where you ended up But, I heard some things around town And I saw your face printed black and white The sunlight gone from your eyes Always dancing with the strawberry moon Shuttered windows never held back the blue, ooh Born into love, safe and warm I can see you in the dim light of the crowd With a face as sweet as a porcelain doll You laughed through the night 'til you took to sail Always dancing with the strawberry moon Shuttered windows never held back the blue, ooh I had a dream that you were young again Looking like you did before your mama died And, in my dream you held me to your chest Now, you're a flicker in the looking glass Always dancing with the strawberry moon Shuttered windows never held back the blue, ooh Ooh, ooh How the time paints us down the path that we choose 'Til the common thread is worn right through There were years when our rivers ran as one Now you were all the colours of the setting sun Setting sun
