In Love For The Very First Time

Lyrics for In Love For The Very First Time

Beat the drum, bang the gong, Let the golden wedding bells chime! My heart's a-flutter, I'm walkin' on air, I'm in love for the very first time! Turn me loose, set me free, Well I've no use for reason or rhyme! I'm hazy-crazy but what do I care? I'm in love for the very first time! I thought that I Was freer than a birdie in the sky! Then you passed by, And wham! Before I knew it I was really goin' through it! Like a fish on a hook With that dreamy faraway look! I'm mad as a hatter But what does it matter? I'm in love for the very first time! What a lovely feelin', Sort of floatin' to the ceilin' Like a bubble or a toy balloon! And it's lots of fun When the day is done, And you're sittin' under the moon! And isn't it surprisin' That your temperature keeps risin', Though the weather may be cold and grey! And though the sun hath gone, No matter what goes on, It's a lovely lovely day! I thought that I Was freer than a birdie in the sky! Then you passed by, And wham! Before I knew it I was really goin' through it! Like a fish on a hook With that dreamy faraway look! I'm mad as a hatter But what does it matter? Let me live and love, And laugh and be merry, I'm in love for the very first time! I'm in love, So in love, I'm in love - for the very first time!
