Signaling the much-anticipated return of guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, this album was intended to be the major comeback vehicle for the Boston hard rock legends. Produced by Ted Templeman, 'Done With Mirrors' actively attempted to capture the raw, unpolished swagger of their 1970s heyday by recording the band playing live in the studio. However, amidst ongoing substance abuse struggles within the group, the record fell short of commercial expectations prior to their massive late-80s resurgence.
