Emerging from a period of severe commercial and personal decline, Aerosmith engineered a massive comeback by partnering with outside pop-metal songwriters. 'Permanent Vacation' polishes their sleazy, blues-drenched hard rock with glossy production, massive horn sections, and incredibly infectious, radio-ready choruses. The album completely revitalized the band's career, turning them into MTV-era superstars.
