Spearheaded by Adrian Sherwood, the debut album from African Head Charge was conceived as a direct response to Brian Eno's 'My Life in the Bush of Ghosts'. The project merges dense tape manipulation and extremely heavy dub production with traditional African percussion, resulting in a profoundly hypnotic, incredibly tribal, and wildly psychedelic avant-garde masterwork.
