Album Notes & Community Reviews

Guided by guitarist Mark Jansen and the operatic soprano of a young Floor Jansen, the Dutch sextet debuts with an incredibly ambitious, grandiose effort. 'Prison of Desire' strictly adheres to the 'beauty and the beast' vocal dynamic, pairing soaring, classical melodies with harsh death metal growls. Supported by sweeping orchestral keyboards and a real choir, it is a foundational pillar of European symphonic metal.
