Biography
After Forever were a Dutch symphonic metal band active from 1995 to 2009. Built around Floor Jansen and her soprano singing set against death-metal growls, orchestral keyboards and choirs, the band helped define the Dutch symphonic metal scene alongside *Within Temptation* and *Nightwish*. Their five studio albums, from 'Prison of Desire' in 2000 to the self-titled 'After Forever' in 2007, move from gothic metal toward a heavier progressive style. The group released its later work through #Nuclear Blast# after a long spell on #Transmission#.
