Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at Sonic Ranch in Texas with producer J. Robbins, 'Searching For A Former Clarity' represents a pivotal and highly ambitious milestone in the discography of Against Me!. The record bridges their early folk-punk grit with a more expansive indie rock and post-hardcore sound, introducing drum loops, strings, and clean production. Lyrically, the compositions tackle political disillusionment, the stresses of touring, and deeply introspective identity struggles with biting, cynical wit.
