Using a bespoke software program he designed himself, the American composer meticulously deconstructs a cassette recording of traditional Icelandic a cappella singing. The algorithmic manipulation stretches and blurs the haunting female vocals into vast, deeply spiritual drone textures, creating a timeless, funereal ambient masterpiece.
