Album Notes & Community Reviews
Written on a grand piano in a remote cabin during her second pregnancy, 'Cusp' represents a deeply sentimental and maternal statement from Alela Diane. Produced alongside John Morgan Askew, the album explores themes of motherhood, childbirth, and the fragile line between life and death. The songs pair her delicate, soaring vocals with lush chamber-pop orchestrations, piano, and warm acoustic guitars.
