Album Notes & Community Reviews

Relocating from Bamako to Abidjan, the legendary West African orchestra Les Ambassadeurs adopted the 'International' moniker for this phenomenal recording. Featuring the soaring vocals of Salif Keita and the dizzying guitar work of Kant茅 Manfila, the album brilliantly fuses traditional Manding melodies with the electrifying energy of Afro-rock and Cuban rhythms. It marks a pinnacle of the post-colonial West African musical renaissance.
