The Silent Enigma

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The British doom metal pioneers delivered a highly atmospheric, emotionally devastating sophomore effort, marking the full-time debut of Vincent Cavanagh on lead vocals following Darren White's departure. The compositions begin shifting away from pure, guttural death-doom towards sprawling, cinematic orchestral arrangements and spoken-word poetry. It represents a crucial evolutionary bridge toward the expansive gothic rock sound that would define their later output.
