Album Notes & Community Reviews

The notoriously uncompromising avant-garde composer shocked many critics by releasing a straightforward acoustic album dedicated entirely to traditional jazz repertoire. Accompanied by a stellar rhythm section featuring Hank Jones, the recording demonstrates his profound respect for and mastery of conventional bebop phraseology.
