Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, this live recording expands the Scottish duo's claustrophobic bedroom-pop into grander, band-oriented arrangements. Aidan Moffat's spoken-word tales of romantic squalor and pub culture are backed by sweeping string sections and tense, driving rhythms. It effectively documents their transition from lo-fi origins to fully orchestrated indie rock.
