Album Notes & Community Reviews

Built from a uniquely collaborative process rooted in live jam sessions, 'We Buy Diabetic Test Strips' presents a moody and unsettling soundscape that veers between harsh industrial beats and lush, dream-like textures. Over this diverse production from figures like JPEGMAFIA and El-P, rappers Billy Woods and Elucid deliver intense, erudite verses that serve as a stark and witty chronicle of precarious modern life and societal dysfunction. The album achieved widespread critical acclaim for its innovative synthesis of dense, sprawling sound and sharply observed rhymes, marking another creative peak for the duo.
