Armand Hammer

Armand Hammer is a New York-based hip hop duo formed in 2013 by rappers Billy Woods and Elucid. [1, 4] The group is defined by its experimental production and dense, abstract lyricism that explores themes of race, power, and fragmented urban life. [2, 8] Their work is characterized by unorthodox rhyme schemes, literary allusions, and a potent critique of societal structures, often set against textured, off-kilter instrumentals. [3, 8, 13] Having released a series of critically acclaimed albums, including collaborations with The Alchemist, Armand Hammer has solidified its position as a central and uncompromising force in underground and avant-garde hip hop.
