ELUCID, born Chaz Hall, is a rapper and producer at the forefront of New York City's avant-garde hip-hop scene. He is known for his dense, associative lyricism and his work in the acclaimed duo Armand Hammer with *billy woods*. His solo work, including albums like 'Save Yourself' and 'I Told Bessie', explores themes of Black consciousness and survival with a sound that pulls from experimental electronics, noise, and free jazz. ELUCID has released music on labels such as #Backwoodz Studioz# and #Fat Possum# and is also a member of several other collaborative projects, including Nostrum Grocers and Small Bills.
