Bauhaus significantly expanded their suffocating gothic blueprint on their sophomore album, integrating driving dance-punk rhythms, dub techniques, and acoustic guitars. 'Mask' is a profoundly surreal, highly theatrical post-punk record where Peter Murphy's manic, vampiric vocals preside over an incredibly dark, fiercely rhythmic, and ominous soundscape.
