Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating heavily on the fringes of the Norwegian extreme metal scene, Beyond Dawn crafts a highly sophisticated, incredibly depressing fusion of avant-garde doom and 80s gothic rock. 'Pity Love' actively eschews traditional metal aggression, utilizing heavily chorused basslines, mournful brass sections, and deeply dramatic, clean vocal deliveries. It remains a fascinating, highly polarizing anomaly within the Misanthropy Records catalog.
