Album Notes & Community Reviews
Originally recorded in 2017 but left unfinished due to the band's dissolution, 'Deceiver / Mirror' was finally completed and released after an unlikely eight-year journey. Following a dream booking, the album was mastered by Bob Weston of Shellac at Electrical Audio, marking a poignant, deeply personal monument to their late friend Steve Albini, who was originally scheduled to mix it. The nine-track record captures some of the Baltimore group's most grueling and emotionally intense songwriting, blending sharp noise-rock clang and post-hardcore weight with Sean Gray's confrontational vocals.
