Album Notes & Community Reviews

Distancing themselves significantly from the punishing, proto-metal volume of their earliest records, the power trio explored a markedly more diverse and nuanced approach to hard rock. The album notably introduces an unexpected, explicitly Eastern-influenced psychedelic texture via the sitar-led instrumental 'Babaji (Twilight Raga)'. While alienating some purist heavy rock fans, it remains a fascinatingly eclectic artifact of their evolving musicianship.
