Gulf Coast Bound

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a complete lineup overhaul, the New York-based psychedelic garage pioneers radically reinvented themselves into a groove-heavy jazz-rock ensemble. The deeply syncopated tracks emphasize extended, brass-driven jams and soulful, Latin-inflected rhythm sections reminiscent of early Santana. Despite the impressive musicianship, the drastic stylistic departure confused their original fanbase, and the group disbanded soon after.
