Recorded in London after a politically motivated assassination attempt in Jamaica, 'Exodus' propelled Bob Marley to international superstardom, and was named Album of the Century by Time magazine. The album presents a polished and accessible reggae sound built on laid-back, funky grooves, while thematically splitting into two halves: the first side confronts religious and political turmoil, while the second shifts to more personal themes of love and faith.
