Album Notes & Community Reviews

'With Lasers' was crucial in introducing the aggressive, rhythmic sound of Brazilian Baile Funk to international indie audiences. Produced by Diplo, the recording splices raw funk brasileiro beats with heavy rock samples and highly vulgar, humorous Portuguese lyricism. The record's chaotic, party-centric atmosphere helped bridge the gap between regional global styles and mainstream electronic music.
