Album Notes & Community Reviews

Living up to its title, KRS-One's fourth album under the BDP moniker leans heavily into pedagogical, Afrocentric lyricism. Punctuated by spoken-word lecture interludes and sparse, reggae-inflected boom-bap beats, the record remains a definitive cornerstone of the early 90s conscious rap movement.
