Biography
Boogie Down Productions was a Bronx hip hop group formed in 1986 by KRS-One, DJ Scott La Rock and D-Nice. 'Criminal Minded' (1987) pioneered the fusion of hip hop and dancehall, but Scott La Rock was murdered later that year. Rebuilt around KRS-One, the group became a leading voice of conscious rap on 'By All Means Necessary' (1988), 'Ghetto Music' (1989) and 'Edutainment' (1990), before ending in 1992.
