Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following decades of obscurity and personal tragedy, the veteran Malian musician was rediscovered and brought to the studio to record this deeply moving acoustic session. 'Kar Kar' highlights his intricate, blues-inflected guitar picking and his incredibly warm, melancholic vocal delivery. The release rightfully reestablished him as one of the most vital and emotionally resonant figures in West African music.
