Biography
Boubacar Traor茅 is a Malian singer-songwriter and guitarist from Kayes, nicknamed Kar Kar. A radio star of newly independent Mali in the 1960s who never recorded, he was rediscovered in the late 1980s and released his debut album 'Mariama' in 1990. His fingerpicked guitar blends blues, Arabic music and the kassonk茅 style of his home region. He has toured internationally ever since, a late-blooming career now in its fourth decade.
