Album Notes & Community Reviews
Focusing on incredibly sparse, surreal jazz-inflected melodies, the ambient music pioneer creates a deeply strange, anxious instrumental atmosphere. 'The Drop' completely bypasses sweeping synthesizer washes in favor of plinky, synthesized fretless bass sounds and jittery, algorithmic rhythms, resulting in one of his most puzzling and idiosyncratic works.
