Brian Eno

Brian Eno is an English musician, producer, and theorist who began his career as the synthesizer and sound manipulator for Roxy Music. After departing the group, he pursued a solo path that shaped new musical forms, most notably coining the term 'ambient music' with his album "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" to describe music as an atmospheric texture. His studio-as-instrument approach and conceptual methods, such as the 'Oblique Strategies' card system, redefined music production. Through extensive collaborations and productions with artists like David Bowie, Talking Heads, and U2, Eno's work has had a foundational influence on electronic, popular, and generative music.
