Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded while Varg Vikernes was in prison with only a synthesizer, 'Dau冒i Baldrs' marks Burzum's full transition from black metal to dark ambient. The album is a highly repetitive, entirely instrumental exploration of dungeon synth, relying on simplistic MIDI melodies to convey somber Norse mythology.
