Album Notes & Community Reviews

Also known as the Collective Consciousness Society, this large-scale ensemble led by Alexis Korner delivers a high-volume fusion of driving blues and big band jazz instrumentation. The arrangements utilize explosive brass sections to propel heavy rock rhythms, resulting in a muscular and highly kinetic sound. The record serves as a testament to the era's fascination with expanding traditional rhythm and blues through orchestral horn power.
