Marking their first studio album without legendary vocalist Messiah Marcolin, the Swedish doom pioneers enlisted Thomas Vikstr枚m to front their sixth release. While slightly more melodic and traditionally heavy metal-oriented than their foundational masterpieces, the record retains the band's massive, lumbering riffs and dark, fantasy-driven lyricism.
