Album Notes & Community Reviews

A forward-thinking album from veteran drummer Chico Hamilton that served as a key precursor to the jazz-rock fusion movement. The crucial element is the introduction of guitarist Larry Coryell, whose playing is saturated with the sound of rock and roll, blues, and psychedelia. His biting, distorted tone, set against Hamilton's swinging drums, was a groundbreaking moment that signaled a new direction for jazz.
