Reflecting the shifting tastes of the Los Angeles underground, this fourth studio album saw the legendary hardcore band consciously injecting slower, heavier metal riffs into their frantic punk sound. 'Wönderful' retains Keith Morris's incredibly cynical, snotty vocal delivery and dark humor, but benefits from thicker, more polished guitar production. The stylistic crossover, heavily pushed by their new label, perfectly mirrored the burgeoning thrash metal scene surrounding them.
