Electric Savage

Reconfigured to feature the blistering fretwork of a young Gary Moore alongside keyboardist Don Airey, the second iteration of Colosseum leans fully into instrumental jazz-fusion. The rhythm section is explosively driven by veteran drummer Jon Hiseman, creating a highly technical, aggressive, and muscular sound. The album perfectly captures the high-velocity virtuosity that dominated the intersection of heavy rock and progressive jazz in the late 1970s.
