Biography
Colosseum II was a British jazz fusion band formed in London in 1975 by former *Colosseum* drummer Jon Hiseman, with Gary Moore on guitar, Don Airey on keyboards, Neil Murray on bass and Mike Starrs on vocals. Their debut 'Strange New Flesh' appeared in 1976; after lineup changes brought in bassist John Mole, they recorded the instrumental leaning 'Electric Savage' and 'Wardance' in 1977 and played on *Andrew Lloyd Webber*'s hit 'Variations' before Moore and Airey departed in 1978, closing the band's brief, virtuosic run.
