Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed from the ashes of the original pioneering jazz-rock outfit, this debut introduced a heavily retooled, more aggressive incarnation of the band. Helmed by drummer Jon Hiseman, the ensemble featured a young Gary Moore on guitar, whose blistering, hard-rock-edged soloing added profound muscularity to the complex compositions. The record stands as a fiery bridge between classic British progressive rock and highly technical jazz fusion.
