Album Notes & Community Reviews

The legendary New Orleans outfit delivered their most remarkably cohesive and overwhelmingly heavy collection of doom-laden sludge metal. Kirk Windstein's incredibly raw, emotionally tortured vocals drive massive, down-tuned hardcore grooves that heavily established the sonic template for modern metalcore. The intensely pessimistic, slow-grinding record firmly solidified their status as the premier architects of Southern sludge.
