Goatlord

Originally recorded as an instrumental rehearsal tape in 1991 during the band's transition from death to black metal, the project was later overdubbed with bizarre, eccentric vocals by Fenriz. The highly unconventional vocal delivery, ranging from shrieks to operatic wails, starkly contrasts the primitive, doom-laden death metal riffing. Released largely as an archival curiosity, it provides a deeply weird insight into the legendary duo's earliest creative pivots.
