Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deeply frustrating guitarist Ritchie Blackmore enough to prompt his departure from the band, 'Stormbringer' saw Deep Purple leaning heavily into the soul and funk influences of David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes. The album remains a fiercely energetic, remarkably rhythmic hard rock record, full of wonderfully playful, deeply passionate grooves and slick, sexual swagger.
