Conceived as an elaborate hoax by Simon Fisher Turner and Colin Lloyd Tucker (posing as French female teenagers), Deux filles produced an incredibly surreal, avant-garde masterwork. 'Silence & Wisdom' weaves delicate piano, heavily reverbed guitars, and mysterious sound collages into a deeply funereal, intensely atmospheric ambient pop puzzle.
